Corrie Hill Price

Directress & Founder

Corrie Price started her journey in early education at the young age of 8. She recognized that all children did not thrive in the systems of care she attended. Throughout the next 25 years, she immersed herself in early learning and child development. She has taught at public, private, community, and free or open preschools and kindergartens. She worked closely with i.b.mee. to develop and actualize Empowerment Education. She is a 4.0 Schools Essential Fellow, where she is co-creating the new paradigm of equitable and inclusive education. She and her husband, Matt, live close by the center with their dogs, Palo and Geddy Lee. They enjoy traveling, music, art, and making the world a happier and healthier place for all to live.

Kiimia Schultz

Director of Engagement

Kiimia primarily works in the administration office but loves to float around supporting teachers and students in the classroom, kitchen, and garden. She is originally from Florida but has lived in western North Carolina for most of her life. She graduated from UNCA with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Asian Studies. A passion for working with young children and belief in the importance of co-creating a more equitable world led her to continue her studies in Early Childhood Ed. She is happily married to a local chef and has two sons, Bodhi and Bruce, 6 chickens and perhaps the sweetest terrier-mix named Kai. She loves spending time with her “tribe”, gardening, hiking, foraging, traveling, yoga and meditation.

Tina Puricelli

Teacher

Tina is originally from New York, went to college in Tennessee, and landed in Asheville about 6 years ago. She has experience teaching second grade at Haw Creek and Oakley Elementary School. Her favorite thing about being a teacher is building relationships and connecting with students. She is a kid at heart, so play is a big part of her life. She values deep connection to ourselves and to nature through play (especially outdoors) and loves to be present and witness kids as they explore their world and learn more about themselves in the process. She says “As I am growing and changing, it is a gift to be part of the Evolve community. Each day and in every moment these amazing little humans teach me more than I could ever imagine! My heart is full of gratitude to be on this adventure with all of you!” Tina loves to do yoga, hike, play soccer, explore, and go on adventures with her dog, Sparrow!
